Extremely insulted by staff. To make it short and sweet, the campsites are standard but the staff will make you uncomfortable. The staff screamed at us from the second we pulled in (literally the woman at the front desk screamed at my car angrily before we were even able to park and pay). There's no respect for other human beings coming from the workers. The staff are hostile, rude, uninviting, unfriendly, disrespectful people. At one point, we were told to keep our fire down to a reasonable level (even though it was already small to begin with), we abided POLITELY, and the worker decided to talk badly about us for the next 20 minutes to other workers loud enough for us to hear. Our neighboring campers explained they also got screamed at. Screaming at campers continued throughout the night. Absolutely disgusted with the way this place treats people. I cannot believe how horribly we were treated. There is nothing "family" about this place. Camp here at your own risk, and expect to get treated like the dirt your sleeping on.

We had a great time at Camp Niantic!! The staff is friendly and helpful. Played Bingo, walked around the grounds, had a couple fires. They offer passes to 3 private beaches, we only had time to visit one, but it was so nice! Very quiet and not a strong current, but chilly water. Can't wait to go back!

I had heard this place was under new ownership. I had known it to be a dump before. We had to come to CT for business, so we decided to give it a try because of the convenient location. We drove through with our car. The place is still very dumpy. The sites are not level. The electric service poles were in terrible condition. We were going to stay anyway because we didn't need anything fancy, we just wanted to park. We went to the office the woman inside was so rude. We told her we wanted a site for a class A. She said "ooooohh". We said we could fit in a site in the front. She said "no, you can't be next to the wall. There is no power there." when I asked her when there would be power there, she responded abruptly " why don't you just go to another campground". For a new owner park, you would think they would try to be nice. It looks like if they hired a giant work crew, it would take years to fix this place up.

A seed that needs nurturing. Waiting for koa to invest time and $_

Great place to stay. Can't wait to go back next year!
