There are three motels adjacent to one another at this exit off I-95. The Sleep Inn is by far the best of the bunch. I visit family in East Lyme a couple of times a year and I keep coming back here.

Very beautiful rooms, colorful and clean. Bed high and stiff but comfy for me. Big closet area. Leather desk chair. Refrigerator. Dish network. Great staff, friendly. Vending machines. Lots of outlets for your electronics.

Hotel room was clean, comfy, and modern. Breakfast selection had a bit to be desired but was still fine for the off-season

Clean and quiet. Nice showers. Safe area and lots of good restaurants to eat at nearby.

No frills room with loud, rattling heater that made sleeping difficult - but it was needed, as it was cold. Front desk clerk seemed uncaring and said no maintenance was available, but he'd let us switch rooms (we declined, because we didn't want to move all belongings).

The showers have a novel shape. Instead of a standard phone-booth size, they have a big bump-out which allows for easy entrance and exit. You’ll see the image on the motel’s website.

Wheelchair accessible room not really spacious enough ... could only get to one side of the bed. Faucet handles in the bathroom super stiff and hard to turn on/off. Mirror too high to see from sitting position. "Roll-in" shower actually had a lip at the bottom, and it didn't even contain water ... water pooled on the floor.

The rooms are always very clean and in good order. There is a fitness facility and a small indoor pool open year round. Parking is convenient. The higher numbers (x23 and up) are farthest from check-in, so that may help people with mobility challenges.

Wheelchair accessible bathroom near the front desk was spacious, but a luggage cart that was blocking access had to be moved from in front of the door. Great, accessible sink in that bathroom! However, soap dispenser, hand dryer, and sanitary napkin machine too high to reach from wheelchair. Dried blood droplets on the floor in front of toilet.

Also very convenient is a Starbucks located on the adjacent property. While the included breakfast is filling (eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles, etc.), it’s nice to have the benefits of the Starbucks refrigerated case for food outside of the 7-10am breakfast.

Very hard, squeaky bed with super stiff sheets and crinkly, uncomfortable pillows. Even the extra microfiber blanket (which you would think would be really soft) was stiff.
